Interest in Interest
Last Tuesday, I had a Skype meeting with Ouyang who is a psychologist and running a test software company. He wrote most posts on Career and SNS in his blog (http://caap.cn/blogs/ouyang/) I knew him from Wealink.com and have exchanged some e-mails. It is an nice conversation which covers Career, Brand identity, Start up, SNS and PSFs (Professional Services Firms).
I have great interest on PSFs since 2001. After leave advertising and communication industry, I work for some companies to raise fund from foreign Venture Capital firms or listing on oversea stock exchanges. I usually work for early stage investors and join the follow round financial process as a internal consultant in company.
It is nice experience to work with many parties as investment bankers, legal advisers, audits and others. In the beginning, I often thought their works seems as advertising and communication industry. In 2001, I touch a book The Intellect Industry: Profiting and Learning from Professional Service Firms which was write by Mark Coleridge Scott who is ex-COO of WPP which is a large holding company in advertising and communication service field. After read the book, I got the whole new mind. I thought It shows me a new way of career.
Last week, I visit www.fwpublications.com and know a business story about Interest. After read the website, I got a new idea about PSFs and Career. In fact , there are three states below:
·Hobby and Enthusiast
·Pro-Am (Know more form here http://www.proamrevolution.com/)
·Professional and Guru
It is all about life-long learners. It is special career based on Interest. Okie, Who is F+W Publications? Read below:
